How to Report a Theft
To submit an initial report, please send an email to info@stolenart.eu with the following details (an automated submission form will be launched soon):

Reporter Details: Full name, organization/municipality, and phone number.
( Privacy Guarantee: Your personal contact details will never be displayed online or shared publicly. They are strictly used for internal verification).

Official File Reference: Police region and the official crime reference or police report number.

Artwork Specifications: Title, artist, material, dimensions, weight, and distinguishing features.

Location & Date: City/country and approximate date of the theft.

Visual Material: High-resolution photographs of the artwork (including foundry marks, signatures, or specific damage).

Have Information or a Tip?Have you seen a listed artwork, or do you have information regarding a case?

Direct to Law Enforcement: You can always contact local police or national law enforcement agencies directly (referencing the official police case number).

About the Founder, Patrick Beverloo
Creating art has been a core part of my life for over 45 years, starting in my early childhood. As a visual artist and sculptor, I work across many styles and mediums—ranging from advanced synthetic materials to traditional bronze casting. Over the decades, I have collaborated extensively with fellow artists to bring their complex creative visions to life through technical expertise.
In addition to my work as an artist, I am a certified Private Investigator. Combining these two worlds creates a unique specialization: an investigator who truly understands the physical craft, material properties, and technical nuances of artwork analysis.
More importantly, I understand the deep emotional weight of art theft. An artwork is not merely an object; it is born from passion, craftsmanship, and dedication. Seeing a creation stolen or left damaged is deeply painful for the creator.
This connection applies just as strongly to collectors and art lovers. Acquiring an artwork is often a matter of the heart—a piece you fall in love with, or a major investment saved up for over many years. When such a cherished piece is taken, the loss is both personal and profound.
Driven by a lifelong passion for art, an understanding of its value, and a sharp focus on open-source intelligence and investigation, I dedicate my skills to help track down missing works and support everyone affected.
StolenArt.eu is an independent initiative created to offer an accessible, low-barrier platform for anyone affected by art theft—from private individuals and local communities to galleries and institutions. Dedicated to preserving cultural heritage, we aim to make reporting and tracking stolen art straightforward, public, and effective for everyone.
